Description
The entire department at work went to Sumilon Island for our planning last week. The entire island is owned by the resort and I decided to trek around the outer perimeter (alone) during sunset so I could take photos.
There was an attendant where I thought the trek would start (actually ends and I would be ending where it started) and he told me it was not "advisable" to go after 4:30pm.
Humbug!, I thought; I had my 7kgs of camera gear with me, it was sunset, and stalls are available all across the path to enjoy the sunset - why tell me it isn't advisable to go after 4:30pm?!
Well, let's just say I'm glad my Sony Xperia had GPS and "The Photographer's Ephemeris" to guide my way (and tell me how many minutes I had left before total darkness came and I'd be really in trouble if I was still wondering about).
This was taken when I had just started and I was still trying to avoid all the spider webs that blocked the path. You start to care less about the spiders you can see and more about what you won't after sunset!
