Taal Crater Lake

Taal Crater Lake is a lake within a volcano island which is within a much larger Lake on Luzon Island of the Philippines. (if you don't understand my description, click here: [link] )

I had a field trip here at the start of the month under Geology 1. Going up the volcano island to go into the crater was tough. Not a tree in sight and we where there from 10am-3pm. Also, the trail was very dusty from all the ash due to previous eruptions.

This area where I took the photo is actually dangerous and only geologists are allowed in the area. Also, I believe the lake has a high PH level due to the volcanic gases coming out from underneath.
